Straining to spot the top of towering foxgloves and firs, wild poppies growing between the smallest cracks, the lapping of the water under me as a lay in the sunshine on a dock, and a delicious Turkish meal are my first sights, sounds, and tastes of Seattle.
I really like it here. The temperate climate seems to keep the plants and people extremely happy. People are so friendly (cars voluntarily stopped every time we were even close to a crosswalk!) and foliage spills out everywhere you look (I was hit in the face with the scent of rosemary on our walk today and realized it was coming from the almost HEDGE of the herb next to me!)
