Redwoods to Driftwood

John Steinback wrote "The Redwoods once seen, create a mark or leave a vision that stays with you always...from them comes silence and awe. The most irreverent of men, in the presence of redwoods, goes under a spell of wonder and respect."

Silence us they did. They are jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Pictures can in no way to them justice, but here are a few...





A short drive and a hike down to Enderts Beach and we were among stretches of black sand beaches, covered in what once were these living giants, now broken down by the surf into smooth remnants.
